Hydroponics and Aeroponics Gardening Systems

If you are looking for one of the most efficient ways to grow plants, hydroponic system of growing plants would be the perfect choice for you. Hydroponics gardening is a technique of growing plants in water or any inert medium under controlled environment. This prolific technique of gardening has emerged as one of the best alternatives to land farming especially in urban areas where there is immense scarcity of arable land. Hydroponic is an indoor gardening system that uses sterile root zone media such as rockwool, coco coir etc. in place of soil. When choosing a hydroponics system, you need to keep in mind the size of the plants you intend to grow. Remember, large plants need more room between them to grow properly. So, for plants larger than two feet tall, it is better to grow with individual plastic containers that can be moved around. In hydroponics system, it is important to keep a close eye on plants growth by checking the water level daily and the pH and nutrient levels every few days.

Aeroponic System

Aeroponic System

There are different variety of techniques employed in hydroponics gardening. Among them aeroponics is a specialized form of hydroponics where there is no need of growing medium. The process is accomplished by spraying a nutrient solution to the roots of the plants without using any growing medium. The biggest benefit of using aeroponics system is the incredible use of limited space. When you are growing plants aeroponically, you open up a whole new world of options to use your space in an appropriate way. The growth rate of a hydroponic plant is 30-50 percent faster than a soil grown plant. As long as you maintain the proper light, temperature, nutrients, and humidity level in your hydroponics garden you can grow your plants regardless of the season.
